iET® Solutions, a leading provider of ITIL based IT Service Management (ITSM) software solutions and services, and LOGIN, a developer of sophisticated software for network administrators, today announced a channel partner distribution agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, iET Solutions will sell and support LOGIN's flagship product LOGINventory, a hardware and software inventory tool for networks of all sizes. "IT administrators need to be able to quickly and accurately scan their network to determine if there were any changes to the environment. LOGINventory gives them complete control over what is happening in their network," said Michael Scheib, president and CEO of iET Solutions. "LOGINventory has been very successful in Europe and we look forward to helping them increase their presence in North America." Roland Loetzerich, CEO of LOGIN, said: "We are extremely delighted about this new partnership with iET Solutions in the United States. Over the past years an increasing number of customers in North America have deployed our network inventory software. iET Solutions, with its proven track record for successfully reselling B2B software, now helps us distribute our products and meet the sales and support needs of our North American customers." Under the agreement, iET Solutions will provide 1st and 2nd tier support, such as customer training, phone support, and initial analysis of software generated malfunctions. LOGIN will provide 3rd tier support when it comes to solving technical issues, i.e. if access and manipulation of the product's source code is required. Prices and Availability New customers of LOGINventory can download a trial version that supports a scan of 20 Windows and 20 non-Windows devices on the network. This trial version can then be upgraded to a full version for as little as $4.80 per PC. About LOGINventory Integrated into the Microsoft Management Console and with the fastest scanner in the market of inventory solutions, LOGINventory allows system administrators to perform a complete inventory of an entire Windows-based network within seconds - without installing extra software on each client PC, requiring a separate server, or creating downtime for users, and without the costs normally associated with providing this functionality. LOGINventory works by scanning a range of IP addresses and SNMP-capable devices to rapidly gather critical information from all machines on a network - including the PC model, manufacturer, serial number, motherboard, CPU, BIOS, RAM, CD-ROM, disks, video and sound maps, monitors, printers, network maps, IP, MAC address, operating systems, service packs, security patches, and installed software inclusive of version number and installation date. Users can customize the tool to collect and catalog hardware and software information from all clients on a network, providing essential information at a glance. All information can be managed via Oracle, Microsoft SQL-Server, Access, MySQL or PostgreSQL databases. The journal function may be used to track events, contracts, etc. in the life-cycle of a PC. LOGINventory provides standard detailed reports of installed software products and patches as well as the ability to create custom queries and reports. This information allows IT managers to determine what licenses and software are needed to standardize desktop computing capabilities, manage application upgrades, and avoid the cost of over-licensing.
About LOGIN Founded in 1987 and based in Munich, LOGIN GmbH built a solid reputation by providing effective software and consulting solutions to a wide range of customers worldwide. The needs of these customers drove the company to develop the capabilities at the core of the LOGINventoryTM product - an easy-to-use, feature-rich, cost-effective means of managing PC assets. LOGINventory is ideal for the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses wanting to control IT costs and improve productivity, and has already been adopted by many multi-national corporations.
